Jakarta, 6 January 2020 – The flood striking Greater Jakarta area in the beginning of the year 2020 has encouraged Tempo Scan Group, a group of national private companies with core businesses of manufacturing & marketing pharmaceutical, consumer, cosmetic and nutrition products, to help relieve the burden of flood victims as manifestation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and concern for the environment and society. Tempo Scan Group provided a total aid of 300 million Rupiah in the form of children's and adults’ medicines, household cleaning products, bath soap, baby care products and child nutrition for those affected by the Jakarta floods. This aid is expected to alleviate the impacts arising after the receding flood, which are health and hygiene problems. This was conveyed by Mr. I Made Dharma Wijaya as Vice President Director of PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk.

Tempo Scan in cooperation with a non-profit organization of fast action response Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) distributed this aid to 5 (five) locations in Petamburan and other areas in Jakarta. The aid was given symbolically by Mr. I Made Dharma Wijaya to the field coordinator of ACT in Petamburan Jakarta.

Made stated that Tempo Scan Group as a company growing and developed in Indonesia holds firm to one of the Company’s core values of “Responsibility” which is manifested by establishing a sustainable CSR program. One of the realizations is by giving aid to the flood victims, which is expected to help the recovery conditions after the flood so that the people can return to their normal and productive activities", Made said.

“The recovery period after the flood is also a matter that needs attention, where it is important to maintain sanitary condition of the house and environment so that it returns clean, since it is closely related to the family’s health condition”, Made added.
