TEMPO SCAN 100% INDONESIA "BRING BACK THE SMILES OF BABIES AND CHILDREN IN PALESTINE"
26/11/2024On Friday 22 November 2024, at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, PT Tempo Scan Pacific Tbk ("Tempo Scan") handed over humanitarian aid to Palestinian babies and children; such humanitarian aid was handed over to the National Zakat Agency/Badan Amil Zakat Nasional (BAZNAS RI) to then be distributed to the relevant parties.
This humanitarian assistance is motivated by Tempo Scan's sympathy and concern for the suffering of Palestinian babies and children living in conflict areas, where based on existing data, around 70% of conflict victims in Palestine are women and children, and 44% of them are babies and children. Through the CSR program Tempo Scan 100% Indonesia, Tempo Scan, which was born, grew and evolved in Indonesia, is called to work together with the Indonesian people who have the same sympathy for the suffering of Palestinian babies and children victims of conflict, Tempo Scan initiated the program "Bring back the smiles of babies and children in Palestine." This program is also a form of embodiment of Tempo Scan's core values, namely the principle of equality, where every human child has the right and opportunity to have love, protection, good nutrition and proper education without distinction of ethnicity, race and religion. Babies born and children raised in Palestine also have the right and opportunity to have good nutrition, love, protection and proper education. Since the launch of the program "Bring Back the Smiles of Babies and Children in Palestine" 2 months earlier, humanitarian aid funds have been collected from the sale of Tempo Scan products, amounting to Rp. 10 billion to be donated.
Tempo Scan entrusts BAZNAS RI, which is the official body formed by the Indonesian government to distribute this humanitarian aid, to ensure that this humanitarian aid is received by Palestinian babies and children in need and BAZNAS will discuss and coordinate with Tempo Scan regarding the technical implementation of the distribution of this humanitarian aid.
The handover of humanitarian aid in the program "Bring Back the Smiles of Babies and Children in Palestine" was carried out at the Istiqlal Mosque, Jakarta, witnessed by the Grand Imam of the Istiqlal Mosque, Prof. Dr. K.H. Nasaruddin Umar, M.A. The handover of humanitarian aid was also attended by other religious leaders who gathered together at the Istiqlal Mosque to witness the handover of this humanitarian aid. Tempo Scan hopes that this humanitarian aid can be a good momentum for the Indonesian people to work together to maintain the unity and brotherhood of the Indonesian nation, because unity and brotherhood are very valuable assets that must always be preserved in Indonesia.
Also present at the Istiqlal Mosque were Tempo Scan's Brand Ambassadors, namely Rossa, Nagita Slavina, Chicco Jericho and Nadine Chandrawinata, as well as the Directors and Board of Commissioners of Tempo Scan.
